About Date Night China (DNC)
What is Date Night China?
Date Night China (DNC) is a digital media platform and events organization based in Beijing. We aim to build a positive community that shares and discusses stories about dating and relationships through articles, podcast episodes, and offline events.
Living in China is in itself an adventure, and dating here adds so much more to the ups and downs of life. With so many cultures, nationalities, languages, and backgrounds mixing together, the dating and relationship scene takes on a whole new landscape.
Date Night China wants to share these stories and experiences, and talks about everything from dating, relationships, and break ups, to sex, intimacy, mental health, intercultural dating, the LGBTQ community, and more. We feel it's important to have a platform to talk about these topics and issues, whether you are an expat living here or you are local from China.
We are based in Beijing, but our community is inclusive of people from all around China who are interested in sharing their stories and discussing their experiences.
What We Do:
Hilarious, insightful, and in-depth discussions with guests about their dating and relationship experiences. Listen to Date Night China on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and other major podcast apps.
The DNC team and guest writers collaborate to write about dating and relationships: awkward and funny date stories, love and relationship experiences, Q&As, opinion pieces, and more. If you are interested in writing, please contact us (details below).
The Date Night China WeChat group is a group chat where people can discuss dating, relationships, break ups, sex, intimacy and any other topic or discussion related to dating in China. It's also where we will share the latest Date Night China articles, new podcast episodes, and upcoming events.
Events
Date Night China connects with local Beijing businesses to host offline events for people to meet and connect. We runs a variety events for singles, couples, and everyone in between, whether you’re looking for friendships or romantic connections.
DNC has hosted casual mixers, scavenger hunts, speed dating, trivia nights, rooftop formals, game shows, movie nights, and more. We also have a bi-monthly storytelling night at 4Corners in Beijing. Currently our events are mostly Beijing-based, but we are looking to expand to other cities. Follow our WeChat account to see more about upcoming events.

Date Night China Policy
DNC is a community open for anyone who is interested in sharing, discussing, or reading stories about dating and relationships in China. It is also open for any nationality, age, gender identity, and relationship status. When taking part in DNC events or discussions we request our members be respectful of each other. Date Night China is committed to doing our best to provide a safe environment for our members from discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment and predatory behavior. Racism, prejudice, xenophobia, and hate speech will not be tolerated, and the admins will see fit to remove anyone in the community if they feel they violate these terms.
